Everything You Need to Know Before You Book.

Clear, practical information to help you feel prepared for your appointment.

Where Is Edge Performance Therapy Located?
Edge Performance Therapy is based within CrossFit Digbeth at 140 Heath Mill Lane, Deritend, Birmingham B9 4AR.
How Do I Book an Appointment?
Book online through our Acuity scheduling page. You can also call +44 7902 010313 or email contact@edgeperformancetherapy.co.uk if you would like help choosing a service.
What Happens in a Physiotherapy Assessment?
The first appointment is used to discuss your history, understand your symptoms and assess the relevant areas. Findings and next steps are explained clearly; treatment and rehabilitation are carried out in a follow-up appointment where appropriate.
Are First Massage Appointments One Hour?
Yes. All first massage appointments are booked for one hour so there is enough time to discuss your medical history, understand your needs and work safely. Follow-up massage appointments can be booked according to the service you need.
What Should I Wear to My Appointment?
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows easy movement and access to the area being assessed or treated. Sportswear is usually suitable.
What Do I Need to Bring?
Please bring comfortable clothing, any relevant medical information and a clean towel for your appointment. If you have reports or details of previous treatment, they can be helpful too.
How Do I Pay for My Appointment?
Payment can be made online when booking or on site by card or cash. Please check the appointment details for the price and payment instructions.
Will My Insurance Cover Treatment Costs?
Cover varies between providers and policies. Please check directly with your insurer before booking; Edge Performance Therapy cannot guarantee reimbursement or process an insurance claim on your behalf.
What Should I Do on Arrival?
Please go to the designated seating area within CrossFit Digbeth and your therapist will meet you at your appointment time. If you are driving, parking is limited and you may need to open the shutter on arrival. Please allow extra time.
What Conditions Do You Treat?
Support commonly includes musculoskeletal pain, sports injuries, back and neck pain, joint and muscle problems, postural concerns, persistent pain and pre- or post-surgery rehabilitation. Your assessment will help establish whether the service is appropriate for you.
I Have Had an Assessment Elsewhere. Do I Need Another One?
We usually recommend our own assessment so we have a current, complete understanding of your symptoms, movement and goals. Bring any previous reports or recommendations so they can be considered.
Are Your Services Only Available to Gym Members?
No. Edge Performance Therapy is open to gym members and non-members alike.
I Am Not an Athlete. Are Your Services Right for Me?
Absolutely. Support is available for everyday pain, work-related discomfort, recovery after injury, improving movement and returning to the activities that matter to you—not only for athletes.
I Am Unsure Which Service to Choose. Can You Help?
Yes. If you are unsure, book a Physiotherapy Assessment or contact us before booking. We can help you choose the most appropriate starting point.
What Is Your Cancellation Policy?
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or move an appointment. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed appointments, are charged at the full session amount.
How Can I Save Money at Edge?
Join our newsletter to hear about current offers and savings. Session blocks are also available and can provide better value when you plan ongoing care; ask about the options that apply to your service.
What Are the Accessibility and Parking Arrangements?
If you have accessibility requirements, please contact us before booking so we can discuss the most suitable arrangements. Parking is limited; if you are driving, you may need to open the shutter on arrival and should allow extra time.
